Starting my 30 minute XERO challenge today, decided I would share some Epic facts about XERO;
1. ANZ Credit card feeds can be set up and transactions can start feeding into XERO in a matter of minutes.
2. ANZ Bank account feeds can be set up quickly, however you need to download and complete a form from the XERO site “Authority to Disclose Information” and email the completed form back to XERO. I will let you know how many working days that will take to process.
3. MYOB contacts can be imported into XERO however the file does need to be manipulated slightly prior to import.
Today when I logged on I had 16 items in my credit card to reconcile that is quite exciting, looking forward to that. I imported my suppliers, so I would be able to match them to my transactions on the credit card statement.
So I started doing this coding some boring petrol and parking vouchers. Then I came across two transactions from US that I did not recognise. Stop working in XERO and now I am on the phone to ANZ cancelling my business credit card. Business Visa card cancelled and dispute forms issued with ANZ.
I as you can imagine, reconcile my accounts every month. It is unlikely if I had not had these transactions automatically feed into XERO I would have identified them for a couple of weeks, and by then, someone is the US would have had a lot of fun on my credit card at my expense!
Boy that was an unhappy ending to my 30 minutes of learning XERO!
